KORC Update April 20th, 2021

Happy 420 Everyone!

I’m celebrating this glorious holiday. I hope you are as well.

I have new shows running and a few changes to announce before we can get back to celebrating…

First, some really good news.

Dj Nails will start creating new shows weekly instead of every other week! A fresh mix weekly from now on.

Also, Sugar-free Radio is moving to Friday’s at 9pm with replays Tuesday at Midnight. This shift to Friday is needed to accommodate the new dispensary friendly show…

Gratuitous Echoes hosted by Jive Radio’s Bruce Van Dyke. The new show from Jive Radio is crafted for those who enjoy the lord’s kale…Here’s what Jive has to say about the show.

It’s… designed to serve all those listeners who are now on a first name basis at their local dispensary.  ya know what i’m sayin?  Yes, these are somewhat stony little sessions!…” Read more at Jiveradio.org

The show airs on KORC for the first time this Wednesday, April 21st at 9pm Pacific with new shows every Saturday at 9pm. What a great way to continue celebrating 420!

Rural Roots Rising

This show produced by the Rural Organizing Project aired on KORC Sunday April 11th with the first in a two part series on community radio stations. Part 2 aired last Sunday the 18th. If you missed it, don’t worry, we’ll run them both again starting Sunday the 25th at 10:30. The show is in it’s second season so we’ll start running the archive episodes every Sunday till we catch up. Check out Rural Roots Rising Sundays at 10:30am Pafifc and get to know your rural neighbors.

KORC on Podbean

Turns out, if you want radio station content to show up correctly online, it has to be turned into a podcast and distributed. How’s that for irony? So, KORC is now on Podbean and that means we are also on Apple Music, Google Podcasts, Podbean App, Amazon Music, Spotify with a few more in process. (hint) I will often post new content to Podbean before it airs on KORC. Click the Podbean icon below to get the app on your phone.

That’s all for now.

GM John
